D Banji Coming To Kampala
D'Banji for Ciroc Promotion
D'Banji Fever Grips Kampala as Broke Revellers are Set To Miss Out.
With less than a Month away from what may be the most anticipated event of the year, One thing is certain; D’BanjFever has taken a grip of Kampala.
Who Is Dbanji For Starters
D'Banj (born Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo), who is Ciroc’s ambassador for Africa, will be gracing the stage during the Ciroc Pineapple launch set to be held at popular Kampala Nightspot Guvnor Club on the 13th of November 2015.
This will be the first time that the ‘Oliver Twist’ singer, popularly referred to as Koko Master, comes to the pearl of Africa; and in a rather ‘unconventional’ manner.
Uganda Breweries Limted's Luxury Brands manager Anette Nakiyaga, revealed that the event dubbed "The Art Of Tropical Luxury" will be an invite-only affair with the only ‘ticket’ on sale for the event costing UGX1M for a table of five and a Ciroc bottle.
Furthermore, Guvnor has announced that, for the first time in years of its existence, the event will be held on the street. The club intends to block off part of the road on First Street Industrial area to create more room for revelers and also easily assimilate the tropical theme of the party into the surroundings.
Also, as with every international act, word reaching us is that a section of Ugandan artistes are clamouring for a chance for a collabo. Though some social media commentators were quick to highlight Jose Chameleone and Bebe Cool as the front runners. The former striking up a friendship with the Nigerian at this year’s MAMAs while Bebe Cool is remembered to have battled D’Banj at The Lion Lager Beer Festival in Harare, Zimbabwe in 2013.
Who do you think should collaborate with D’Banj?
I think it doesn't matter since what many Ugandan artists have faced id failure to promote the collabo they always secure with international artists het even the international artists have no time to promote the song since they are handled by recored labels who may not be interested in the song or could be interested in other concerns.
